We are Jeff & Jan Marrs, and on September 16 our world was shattered.  After a long battle with PTSD, depression and anxiety, our beloved 18-year old daughter, Lane, took her own life.

We know from our experience with Lane that many teenagers suffer from this tragic and difficult-to-understand disorder. As we process her death and face life without her, one of the things that gives us comfort is the opportunity to help other teens who are struggling and may not have access to the treatment they need. We feel compelled to do everything we can to help other families give their teens a chance, and to never have to experience the tragedy and loss our family has felt.

In lieu of flowers, we will strive to bring meaning to our loss by using these donations to help other teens in their fight with depression. If you are so inclined and able, please consider a donation, however big or small, as a way to bless our sweet Lane and give other teens a chance to succeed in their battle against this disorder.
