Lane Dukart of Masonville, CO, a dear friend of mine and fellow full-time working artist, has experienced devastating loss due to the largest wildfire in the history of Colorado. While his house was spared, his truck, snowplow, pottery studio (specifically his kiln), and land suffered extensive damage.

Anyone who knows Lane, knows his positive, humble nature is infectious. He is incredibly grateful his home is still standing (even with the smoke damage) along with a few spared trees which is  just 1% of his land. The other 99%  was lost in the fire. I've always admired his ability to keep his head up in any difficult situation. On that note, as much as I know he would tough it out, I didn't want him and his wife Sue to carry the stress of taking on such a huge recovery endeavor without some kind of help. These have already been difficult times with the cancellation of art festivals due to Covid19! You can also support Lane by buying his beautiful bells! The holidays will be upon us soon.

What he needs most urgently, that insurance won't cover,  is a new/used (or in Lane's words-"a beater") truck and a snowplow (necessary for access to his home during the winter months), repairs to his kiln, a new generator for his well pump,  and wattle in preparation for flooding/ spring runoff. 

I've done a rough estimate of the above items, though it sure looks like he will need a lot of wattle!
