Lands End to John O Groats challenge

Do you want to join us in making a difference? we are raising money in aid of Mind (NAMH) and every donation will help.

Whats our charity?
Mind is an organisation which right now can make all the difference to those suffering with mental health problems during this time of lockdown. It is a charity which recently has not had as much attention as others, even though the work they do could end up saving lives as well. No matter how old you are or how severe you mental health problem is Mind can make a difference to helping those in need. At the moment, social contact is limited which means some people can not see family, friends, go to work or do day to day things, with Mind's help the people that are struggling can get the help before it is too late.

Who are we?
We are a regional triathlon academy part of the British triathlon performance pathway. As we are in lockdown we have decided to take on challenge in order to make training fun and in doing so raising money for a good cause. Along side us we have also recruited some of the athletes parents to make their own group and join us in the challenge, as well as, a group from the Bodyworks performance triathlon squad.

What are we going to do?
We have split into three teams of six, within these teams we have split into sub groups of three. The plan is that three people will ride for an hour then rest whilst the other three ride for an hour. The total distance that each group of six has too cover is 960 miles, which is the equivalent of riding from Lands End to John O Groats. The first three will start at 6am with the next group of three starting at 7am and so on until we reach the required distance. We are competing against the other teams of six and are trying to be the first team to complete it. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much.
