Orlando’s Journey: Stage 4 Bladder Cancer

Donation protected
With Mr. Orlando Colon’s consent, my fiancé, I’d like to share his medical journey. Following a long-term relationship and partnership, we encountered a serious cancer diagnosis in 2023. Initially presenting as kidney stones with persistent bleeding, it was misdiagnosed as a urinary tract infection. Subsequently, a large cancerous tumor was discovered on his left kidney, requiring immediate nephrectomy. Three months later, bladder polyps were detected, necessitating further surgical intervention (five surgeries total). Unfortunately, three months after that, the cancer was staged at 1. Autoimmune treatment proved ineffective, and three subsequent chemotherapy regimens failed to halt the growth of cancerous masses. A three-month assessment revealed aggressive stage 4 metastasis. He commences a new targeted chemotherapy regimen this Friday, following genetic testing to identify the specific cancer mutation.

In February, I relocated to facilitate his access to superior medical care during his chemotherapy treatments. The significant side effects necessitate close monitoring; however, the aggressive nature of his condition makes prognosis uncertain. His fragile health and ongoing treatments prevent him from working. Prior injuries sustained in a near-fatal motorcycle accident, resulting in multiple plates and screws in his arm, leg, and ankle, significantly limit his physical capabilities. His previous employment as an over-the-road truck driver ended following the accident, coma, and extensive rehabilitation.

I his partner, having been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), 2017 a neurological autoimmune disease, have experienced a several medical (MS) relapses earlier this year due to stress.

My sweetheart, “Lando” expressed a wish to see his extended family, and I am seeking assistance to fulfill this desire. All funds will be used for his care and to cover his housing expenses, travel, food and other responsibilities. Unfortunately, as his caretaker & support, I am limited financially due to my condition. My priority is to maintain his morale, provide encouragement, and facilitate visits with his loved ones to create lasting memories. I am confident that we will find a solution & I truly believe God will make a way for us to do this.

I hoping you to assist us in fulfilling his wishes; time is of the essence, and I wish to avoid future regret.
Orlando maintains a positive outlook, attends weekly church services, & keep Jesus in the center of his life as he
continues to trust that God is still is a miracle worker & healer. I am committed to supporting him in every way possible, though I require assistance.

I am his primary support system, a challenging role, as we rely solely on each other. Therefore, I aim to grant his every desire. Our relationship is deeply cherished, and we will continue to persevere in our faith together. Please pray for our peace, strength, and guidance. I remain hopeful for a miracle, regardless of his current circumstances. Every contribution, however small, will be invaluable. His greatest wish is to see his loved ones who is hasn’t seen in over 20 years. Any donation is deeply appreciated. If unable to donate, please consider helping us circulate this request by sharing this post and offer your ongoing prayers. This is a challenging time for us both. Thank you for your encouragement, love, and support.
