Twelve skiers from Lander Valley High School just qualified for the US Ski and Snowboard Junior National Championships, to be held in Minnesota the first week of March!

Congratulations to Emily Anderson, Shayla Babits, Otus Beason, Ameya Eddy, Gage Gose, Bennett Hutchison, Diego Lobatos, KayKay Sandall, Kaleb Simonson, Kyra Simonson, Annika Wilmot, and Kate Wilmot. These Lander skiers will join 16 other athletes from Wyoming and Montana to make up the High Plains Nordic Team.

Qualifying for Junior Nationals is a huge honor that takes years of practice, commitment, and training. The event draws the best 14 to 19 year old skiers in the US—and that includes our elite group of Lander skiers.

The cost of attending the week-long national championship is $2,200 per skier for transportation, lodging, race fees, coaching, and equipment. It's a lot, and on short notice, but with our help we can keep their dream of attending Junior Nationals in reach.

Gifts to this fundraiser support all of our Lander skiers, so please contribute. Your support will not only send our team, it will inspire our up-and-coming skiers—and it will continue to build on our great nordic skiing tradition in Lander.

Thank you for being a part of the Lander Nordic Community and for supporting our young athletes!
