I am starting this page for my daughter, son-in-law, and their daughters. To tell the story, Alyssa and Josh have been soulmates since the ninth grade I wrote these words less than a year ago on their wedding day today … I write them with a heavy heart, Josh is a great husband and an awesome daddy. two months ago this family took a financial hit when he lost his job. he’s been fighting with health problems that have been debilitating. It has left him in excruciating back pain, tremors in his left hand and last year losing half of his body weight to excruciating G.I. problems . Yesterday my daughter’s world shattered! She came home from work to find her husband laying on the bedroom floor, his head in their six-year-old daughter’s lap. Sobbing, she told her mommy…“daddy won’t talk to us” over and over. Josh was unable to move, only moving his eyes in response to his wife crying out to him. Josh, only 31 years old was airlifted to a trauma center in Syracuse New York, where his wife was told he had a severe stroke. They rushed him into emergency surgery to remove a massive blood clot on the left side of his brain. Today, Josh still hasn’t responded to medical staff and we are told they are waiting to see more brain activity and hoping he will soon be able to breathe on his own and remove the respirator that is breathing for him. We were also told yesterday that he has a fib on top of everything else his heart rate and his blood pressure elevated to a unhealthy rate. last week our family was devastated with the news of Alyssa‘s stage three melanoma skin cancer diagnosis. This family has been through so much in their young lives and needs our continued prayers and our financial help. Today my daughter sobbing, terrified not knowing what the future holds, heartbroken for her husband and her girls still worrying about medical bills, health insurance and how they’re going to manage their bills with him in the hospital and her not wanting to leave his side. As their one year wedding anniversary approaches, it’s not fair that this young family can’t see joy and happiness but only heartbreak and worry. please open your heart and help my daughter be able to stay by your husband side where she needs to be. Anything helps and is tremendously appreciated. Please continue to pray for all of them. God Bless.
