Heart of Eden Women’s Ranch I have a vision placed upon my heart to have a sanctuary to empower women who want healing from childhood abuse. Please help support me to have this place become a reality. The vision is to create a place where women can come to walk through a process to heal from childhood abuse and trauma. A place where their pain and struggles are understood and where they can come to find and develop strength as they begin to their healing journey from sexual abuse, verbal abuse, physical abuse, spiritual abuse and neglect. All of these experiences from childhood, tend to form beliefs that drive behavior later in life because they scar us. Our scars and battle wounds often times effect our relationships, ability to allow others close, our work ethic, self-belief and furthermore, our relationship with God and our beliefs of Him can also be affected. But there is a process of healing and there is hope to grow from those very real places of pain. The Heart of Eden Ranch will offer a wholistic approach to healing. Horses, and plants and art will be alongside biblical principles for their healing journey. The ranch will use these God given gifts to help bring women through a process of growth and understanding, and rebirth. Restoring- connection with others. Animals. We plan to couple life coaching, with Equine Therapy from a faith-based foundation. Helping to restore connection and awareness to those who have suffered in their lives, often times alone. Horses help to bridge that gap and with their incredible intuitive nature, they take that process a lot further a lot faster. Lastly, animals offer unconditional love- love that is soothing - without judgement, without expectations or conditions. Replenishing - connection to life. Organic food. Organic food will be grown on the ranch and served as healthy foods, which also help in the process of wholeness and well-being. Our bodies need nutritious foods to rejuvenate. Helping us to balance our emotions and to allow our bodies to heal as often times abuse will cause eating disorders as well as unhealthy eating habits. Gardening is also a great tool pertaining to the soil. Creating compost from waste material helps to give a visual to the process God takes us through as he takes our brokenness and brings forth life. In the same way, waste is turned and processed until it is usable, rich, nutrient dense soil. We will use this soil to grow the best tasting healthiest food...teaching the women that their pain, when processed can provide for them richness of life like they never knew possible. The processing is allowing God in. Reviving- connection to self. Art. Art will be used to help women breakthrough in their creative nature while equipping them with a way of strengthening their voices, telling their stories and giving hope to others. Art combined with coaching will be a powerful tool used on the ranch, to help these women. When I teach art, it is always a very vulnerable experience. People often will face their inner beliefs in a very raw way. Through art expression, they are given the opportunity to face wrong beliefs and self-doubt as well as self-sabotage...and given the tools and experience to change them for the good of their lives. Art is a part of who we are, and this aspect of the ranch will be vital to getting women back in touch with their real identity- made in the image of God who created everything we see...each woman is a creative person. Also just like art- the aim is for each woman to experience the revelation that she is priceless, beautiful and worthy! ================= My Story I have a story of pain, healing and glory. I know all too well the pain and struggle of healing from abuse. It is not easy, and it is not pretty, but there is hope, there is growth and there is maturity and healing. I have been so blessed in my life to have had incredible people help me along the way. I have gained tools along the way that have made it possible for me to open up and grow again. It is deep within my heart to one day give what I have been given, to so many women who think they are alone and in living from a place of despair. I want to help them, empower them and show them there is a way and God is able to walk them through it. From my own pain and suffering journey, I began expressing myself through art and give all the glory to God for my healing. I am now a professional painter who specializes in Christian-themed art. I often do speed painting sessions at churches or worship sessions.
