Help us with Lance's Funeral

Hello, this is Jessica , Lance's Sister, I am trying to help our family raise money for Lance's Funeral. For those who don’t know, this is the second brother we have lost. We lost Trevor, his identical twin, eight years ago. This is Trevor...

Trevor witnessed Lance get into a devastating yet non fatal car accident, the shock of this sight was too much for his heart to bear. He was gifted with a few moments to run to his brother’s side and tell him how much he loved him, just before collapsing and dying on the spot. He was a healthy seventeen your old, with no obvious cause of death, other than fear for the life of his other half. Only an identical twin can understand how deep that connection is.

The death of Trevor devastated our family. Eventually Lance, not able to cope with the physical and emotional pain that resulted from that tragic day turned to opiates, as a way out. Addiction took its hold on our whole family and we were off on one of the scariest roller coaster rides that exists.

After 8 years the clouds seemed to part. Lance (and Royal, another brother close in age, who became an addict in the wake of the accident as well) finally hit rock bottom, and were entered into very good rehab programs. For the first time they have really seemed as though things were looking up. Lance had been sober since September, and recently acquired a girlfriend, who was struggling herself with her own demons. For those who don’t know Lance, he has the BIGGEST heart of anyone I have ever encountered. He would give his life for anyone who showed him even a little friendship. He helped his new girlfriend get into another Rehab, and on Saturday night drove her to Palm Springs to drop her off. They spent hours saying good bye, and he left around 12pm.
The authorities found Lance after hitting a side rail and slamming into the freeway wall. Strangely he wasn’t wearing his seat belt, which he always wore, and was ejected from the truck into the wall. He was killed on impact. From the evidence at the scene, they believe that he fell asleep at the wheel.
He fell asleep and woke up in heaven with Trevor. This thought helps a little, knowing that they are together again, and that being separated haunted him so.
My mother is prideful, and never asks for help, so I am asking for her, for us. She has spent the last few years finally finishing the remodel on her house, which she put on hold for many years after Trevor's death, and after being embezzled by her accountant. Every cent of her savings has gone into the house in the past year, leaving us in a hole. As many of you know my mom is a small busniess owner, and has worked her butt off to get what she has. Today though, the day she should spend grieving, she has felt forced to work, due to upcoming funeral arrangements. No mother should feel forced to work the days after losing a child.
I am just starting to research funeral arrangements, and I know that Trevor’s funeral was just over $10,000, eight years ago. I am asking for $15,000 to be sure to cover the costs, and if there is anything left to help with a little padding for bills, so we can help relieve as much financial stress for my mom as possible.

Losing a child once is unbearable, losing another is unbelievable.
The coroner is backed up and Lance will be released to us in about 10 days, so I am hoping to get the funds a bit before hand to ease the planning process.
I want thank everyone in advance, as you can imagine and or have experienced, this time is the hardest time in life. Your generosity means so much to us, there isn’t an amount too small. Thank you all so much.
