For those of you reading this who know Lance and might not know much about his current situation and want to help or for those who are just looking to aid a man and his family during a particularly rough time, we would like to start by saying thank you, for even checking out this GoFundMe campaign every donation, share and view is appreciated.
Lance Sargent, Survey Scheduler at Salt River Project has been involved with many projects across Arizona both in field as a Surveyor before moving up to scheduling Survey crews, chances are if you've had a new power line, electric transformer or anything of that caliber from SRP installed in your neighborhood, at your home or at your business, then Lance was very likely involved, he cares very much about what he does and works hard to support his family but with recent events he's found himself in a fairly rough spot.
For the last few month, Lance has been dealing with back pain, which would (and still does) vary day to day in intensity. It was passed off as overexertion for quite some time until other symptoms started to present themselves such as weakness in the limbs and lack of coordination with certain motor functions, with such developments he decided to seek medical help, only to learn that there is a tumor on his spine that has been the cause of the problems from the start. Soon he will be going in for surgery to have said growth removed, however, due to the position of the growth, he will be hospitalized and recovering for a very long period of time, likely the rest of 2019. This page is being started to assist with the costs of both living in a hospital and with the fees that come with treatment.
