Help Lance with his fight against cancer

Donation protected
Whether you know Lance as a Friend, from his many business ventures, his travels or his motorcycle race family we all know and can relate to his favorite motto “Go Hard or Go Home”. Lance is also a Husband, a brother, a father, a son and an all-around good hearted individual.  Those that know him, know how he always brings larger than life energy and positive intention to any situation.

Unknown to many, we have been fighting a silent battle for Lance’s life over the past year. On November 5th 2020, our world was turned upside down.  In a matter of a few days, Lance was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic colon cancer and was immediately rushed into surgery for a colon re-sectioning to remove the largest tumor that was resting on his spine. About a week after his surgery we had our first visit to the Oncologist and were told the cancer had metastasized to his liver, lymph nodes and lungs, surgery was not an option and he had 3-6 months. Lance is a fighter and we are so blessed to be here, one year later still going strong.

Since his diagnosis in November, he has had a port surgically put in to receive his Chemo infusions, 5 Rounds of Chemo totaling 19 Infusions and 38 weeks of oral chemo medications. Alongside his chemo treatments, we have been utilizing many alternative medicines and therapies that have played a huge part in keeping quality of life and assisting in fighting this battle.

As some of you may know when facing something like this there are many other battles that go on behind the scenes. From fighting with insurance companies to figuring out financials for our family; to not only keep getting him the treatments he needs, but to also keep the roof over our heads. Since his diagnosis last November Lance has not been able to work and while we were able to get him covered with insurance (which has been truly an unbelievable blessing), they do not cover everything. We wanted to be able to do this on our own and have him healed and feeling good before we told everyone We have managed to get this far on our own, but as time goes on it has proven harder and harder and now it’s time to ask for some extra prayers and help. Lance and I are so grateful for him to still be here and in much better shape than his was last year. While he is still not able to work, the fact that doctors gave him a 3-6 month timeline and he is still fighting strong exactly one year later has truly been a miracle. Besides just the traditional medicine approach like chemo we definitely attribute his progress to other alternative medicines that are not covered by insurance. The help we receive will go towards things like physical therapy so we can get Lance’s muscles going and hopefully get him back into the swing of everyday life,  multiple alternative therapies that have helped immensely with his pain (as opposed to being overrun with medications from his Palliative Care Doctor) and furthers his healing, different supplements that we use to help his liver function and that help him to detox faster from his treatments, living costs to help while he rests and his body regenerates and so much more.

So, we are not ready to go home, and we are certainly still going hard and we hope to be able to say by next year that Lance isn’t fighting cancer, but he is a survivor of cancer. His recovery, we know will not only be because of his will and his fight but also because of all the wonderful people who stood with him and for him in this time.

So we are asking just that, to stand with us in prayer and by donating what you can, big or small, to help.
