Lance Corporal Alberto Lucio Memorial Fundraiser

We are raising a memorial fund in memory and honor of 20-year-old, Lance Corporal Alberto "Beto" Lucio on behalf of his close friends and fellow Marines.

LCpl Alberto Lucio was born 28 May 2001 in Smithville, Tennessee and joined the Marine Corps in September of 2019. After Marine Combat Training, Lucio reported to Fort Leonard-Wood, Missouri to complete Military Police training. Upon completion he was assigned orders to the Provost Marshal's Office on Camp Pendleton, California.

On 6 December, LCpl Lucio was on his way to work his morning shift as a Military Policeman when he witnessed an SUV crash on the side of the Interstate 5 highway. In true spirit as a Marine and an MP, he stopped on the side of the road and got out of his vehicle to help the distressed passengers.

 

While providing help to others along the dark roadway, he and the SUV he was assisting were both struck by a third driver. LCpl Lucio's selfless sacrifice ensured that the others in that SUV may live.

 His bright smile, bold courage and impeccable character will be remembered by all those who served alongside him.

 

The proceeds of this fund will go to his wife and family.
