About our Campaign
During Telefonica’s final sail with us, disaster struck, she was dismasted and we are in trouble.
Telefonica needs a full rig replacement so that this iconic racing boat can continue her life afloat.
We now have two months to make repairs.
To achieve this we need your help.
Our story
Lance found Telefonica in December 2018 in a shocking state.
He brought her back to life over six months often working 14/16 hr days with a good friend Jon, meanwhile Claire set up the business to take bookings, race entries and insurance etc.
Fearless projects was born, a business designed to offer world class racing to anyone wanting to try high performance sailing.
Our idea was to bring the thrill of crewing a world class racing yacht to all.
Together we have raced, built miles and, best of all, logged hundreds amazing memories – all with fantastic clients and crew.
Everyone that stepped onboard quickly became as passionate about this amazing boat as we are.
COVID was such a massive set back for the world, we accepted that we needed to go into debt and honoured every booking our clients made or we repaid every booking in full.
The decision to sell Telefonica Black was not an easy one but we had no choice.
For us to suffer a snapped back stay and broken mast on its final trip was devastating.
Moving forward
We are now asking for your help.
The new potential owner is still interested and has given us two months to get her back in shape.
We plan to do what sailors do best when dismasted, form a plan, jury rig a solution and fix what’s broken.
We are asking for help so that we don’t have to scrap her for parts.
