My friend’s sweet boy named Lanakila was born with a hole in his heart.

 

He lives on the island of Oahu and is currently in the 4th grade.

 

When he was first born, the doctors couldn’t do an operation to correct his condition since he was too small at the time.

 

He didn’t get any better, but there was no significant change so the doctors left it alone.

 

Within the past year his heart has not been able to help his body grow properly, so he will need

an open heart surgery.

The surgery will consist of breaking his chest bone, reconstructing his aortic valve, sewing up the hole in his heart, cutting out excess scar tissue and opening the other chambers of his heart.

 

The emotional burden is very great on this little boy and his family.

 

The recovery time will be 30-60 days in a hospital depending on his recovery timeline so one can just imagine the financial burden that will occur during this important time.

 

I am asking most importantly for your prayers of quick recovery and complete healing over Lanakila.

 

I am also asking for any financial contributions that will help this family as they will bear the burden of going through such a tremendously challenging time!
