This is Lamount Session. He was born on April 7, 2003, and, unexpectedly, passed away on December 9, 2024. Unaware of his passing, we reported him missing in January after not seeing or hearing from him since October 23, 2024. We knew something was wrong—this wasn’t like him. He always called, always checked in.

Lamount was only 21 years old—he didn’t even get the chance to truly live. He was a kind, respectful, and loving person, and he adored his mother, Shy. He also leaves behind his young daughter, Re’ligion, who will soon turn four, along with two younger sisters, a younger brother, and his older sister, Yolonda Session, who was like his twin.

Then, on March 15, 2025—more than three months after his passing—we finally received the heartbreaking news. Despite the fact that he was in the system and we had reported him missing, we were told they couldn’t find us or contact us. But how? His mother, Shy, had been searching. Our information was there. We had filed a report. The delay makes no sense, and it has only added to our pain and frustration.

Now, on such short notice, we are left to make funeral arrangements we never imagined we’d have to face. We are asking for any support you can offer—no amount is too small. Anything will help us honor Lamount properly and bring our family some peace after this unimaginable ordeal.
