Lamont Watson Medical and Work Leave Expenses

Donation protected
Lamont Watson encountered an unfortunate freak accident while mowing his lawn on Friday evening. He tripped over a fire pit, and the mower tragically severed several toes. Lamont was home with his two sons at the time and was in a dire state of emergency. Thankfully, his brother-in-law Alex, who lives a few blocks away, was home, and Lamont was able to call him for help. Alex and his daughter loaded up Lamont, the toe, and his two sons in the car and rushed them to the hospital, where he was met by Lamont's fiance Anna, who was at work at the time.
During this eventful and painful process, the surgeon delivered high hopes of saving Lamont's toes. However, upon further discovery, it was concluded that too much damage was done and reattachment could not occur. He had surgery to complete the amputation of two toes on his right foot.
He is devastated. Lamont grew up playing various sports and found a strong love for basketball at a young age. He went on to play basketball for Greesboro college before an ACL injury stopped competitive play. Years later as Lamont lived life and began starting a family with his fiance Anna, they had two sons, Rian (8) and Kane (3). Lamont found a new love for sports in coaching Rian in his love of baseball. Rian continues to play four seasons of baseball a year with Lamont as a team coach. Lamont has helped develop Rian into an amazing athlete competing at a high level even against age groups older than him. In fact, Rian's team was one win away this past spring season of going to regional championships.
Lamont has also developed a strong career in the restaurant business and now serves as the general manager of a well established pizza restaurant in Charlotte, Tru Crafted Pizza.
Lamont has a long road ahead of him, including the healing process and relearning to walk on his right foot, as the big toe controls all balance. He will need physical therapy but has a strong will and determination to continue to coach Rian through baseball and enjoy his love of sports and to continue his long career. His first step is learning to walk again as he is constantly on his feet meaning he is out of work until he can heal and learn how to walk again.
If you are able to help in any way so they can focus on Lamont's recovery and rehab, it would be greatly appreciated. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Lamont Watson and his family to help with rehab/ medical bills and to help pay bills while he is out of work.
If you are not able to donate monetarily, I will also be organizing a meal train.
Thank you!
