Greetings Alll,
Thank you so much for the support, love, calls texts, and well wishes. We're grateful to share that my brother has been discharged from the hospital into housing, marking a significant step in his recovery journey.
While his wounds are still healing, preventing immediate prosthetic fitting, we remain committed to supporting him. Lamont is on a road to put the building blocks of this new life in place. Slowly but surely Mentally, Physically, and emotionally he is heading towards fullness, and wholeness of Mind, Body, and Soul.
We are continuing in our efforts to raise funds in support of this new life journey for a smooth transition once he's ready for prosthetics. Your continued support means the world to us as we navigate this life changing chapter together. Thank you for being apart of his healing and transformation.
A wonderful soul and a good mind. Educated former Macalaster College student, articulate and very well spoken. Once an all star athlete, scholar and dancer, now at 31 years old, a double below the knee amputee...
On the morning of November 28, 2023 I received a phone call letting me know that my brother Lamont, known to some as "Leon" had been found outside in 12 degree weather and was severely frost bitten. After careful consideration, the decision was made to amputate to prevent infection from spreading.
He has suffered from mental health disease in the last few years that lowered his ability for insight and to have self awareness. He was frost bitten so badly that he had to lose his feet to save his life. There are powers in place that could have advocated for his protection, but weren't able to, resulting in his forever changed life with many obstacles ahead.
Lamont is in need of help and support. It’s evident that he has faced significant challenges, but his resilience shines through. He needs various therapies, living expenses, prosthetics, and hospital bills all of which will make a meaningful impact on his journey to recovery.
Your support can contribute to rebuilding Lamont and help him pursue his dreams despite the obstacles he’s encountered. He is currently recovering with his loved ones and has a long road to recovery. We appreciate your support during this traumatic time.
Thank You!
