This year via the annual KC:Kidz summer t-shirts, I’m raising much needed funds for my good friend Lamin Bayo and his community Football academy in The Gambia, Africa.

Lamin, like me, is passionate about football and providing for his community.

Football is such a powerful, positive and empowering life hobby for so many children and teens there. It’s not just a sport, but a way of life, a life line of hopes and dreams.

This academy, these children, my friend Lamin rely on the great support of others, funds and donations to keep spirits high!

To keep the academy running.

They have very little but natural resources, using plastic bags and elastic bands as make shift footballs when they run out of funds and donated equipment.

This year the work has started early. Me and my friend Jobi Jobe have personally funded the creation of 50 special Lamin Bayo footballs that are already on a shipment on their way out to the Gambia.

With your kindness and support, you can help us provide even more! Such as football boots, bibs, goal keeper gloves, shins pads and kits.

We are so lucky and fortunate in the UK to have such resources so easily available to us, but there’s no Sports Direct for these fantastic people, so instead we wish to send such gifts directly to them.

BACK STORY:

My friend Jobi has African roots.

He returned to Africa to find his birth family. This is when he met our main man Lamin, who selflessly helped Jobi track them down and made things possible.

Eternally grateful! I loved the story, I wanted to help Jobi give back and so I was introduced to Lamin and we’ve been great friends ever since.

I love to make a difference to others, and so this is a great chance for me and Jobi to return great blessings and help Lamin and his community football academy thrive with great love and support from those that care.
