Marley’s Story: Why I’m Donating Lambchop Toys in His Memory
This fundraiser is deeply personal.
A few years ago, I adopted a rescue dog named Marley. He had a rough start in life, but you would never know it by the way he loved—with his whole heart. Marley was goofy, gentle, and full of soul. But there was one thing he loved more than anything: his toys. Especially soft, squeaky ones like the classic Lambchop plush.
Every time he got a new toy, his eyes lit up like it was Christmas morning. He’d carry it around proudly, sleep with it tucked under his chin, and sometimes even show everyone each new toy he received. It was such a small thing—just a toy—but it brought him so much comfort and joy, especially in those early days when the world still felt unfamiliar to him.
Marley passed away not long ago, and not a day goes by that I don’t think about him. He changed my life in the best way—reminding me how powerful love and second chances can be.
Now, I want to do something in his memory. Something that brings a little piece of that joy he knew to other dogs still waiting for their forever home.
So I’m raising $150 to buy Lambchop toys for the dogs at Lollypop Farm, the same kind Marley loved so much. I want every pup there to feel a little more comforted, a little more playful, and a little more loved—because they deserve that.
If you can donate even $5, you’ll be helping a shelter dog experience that same spark Marley felt every time a new toy came his way.
Thank you for helping me honor him.
For Marley, with love.
