My name is Lamar Kendrick-Dial and I was accepted into New York University Tisch School of Arts for Photography and Imaging in 2019. Due to financial issues at home and living off of a single pay check, my mom and I realized that we would not be able to afford to put me into school this year. I deferred my acceptance so that I could take this time to work and hopefully come up with the money to enroll in 2020. COVID took away the two jobs that I was working for a while, and my mom is helping out as much as she can, but there is still a portion of the money that we cannot cover by ourselves. NYU paid for about half of my tuition, which left around $35,000. I have a couple different offers from friends parents that cover a good amount, including the money between me and my mom.
