Lamar Faulk

Most of you may not be aware of something that happened to our fellow colleague,  Lamar Faulk, a few weeks ago.  While his daughter was cooking in the apartment a small grease fire broke out.  The sprinklers immediately went off and the fire was put out .  Thankfully no one was injured.  Lamar arrived home within 5 minutes and while there was only a small amount of water at that time, the management company and the fire department could not figure out how to shut the sprinkler off and it continued to fill up his apartment for 90 minutes flooding everything.  All of his furniture and electronics were destroyed.  Management asked him to move out for a week to clean up and when he arrived back, he found all of their wet clothes piled in the tub with mildew growing.  Just today he was asked to move out again for a week so they could come back in and make all of the repairs.  Every time he moves out, it is at his expense so in addition to losing most everything in the apartment he has incurred hotel fees and expenses for every meal.  This all happened as school was about to start so new clothes had to be purchased as well.  Not only did it destroy his apartment but the water flooded all apartments from his on the 25th floor to the 19th floor.  He did carry insurance which will cover all of the repairs to all of the apartments and all the personal items for the tenants below him.  However, he only carried Liability insurance so none of his personal items are covered and now he faces the task of replacing everything.  There is no telling how much it will cost to replace what has been lost but Invesco Cares wants to help and we know there are others that would like to as well.  Lamar now has to tackle the challenge of putting his home back together and we can't even imagine how hard and stressful that will be.  If you would like to help, please donate, please pray and please let Lamar know you are there for him.  Thank you!
