A description from a post from Lalene on what happened:

"I had an MRI on 12/28 following a blackout on Dec 18 during our holiday soccer party. Found a large mass at base of my brain, which was intermittently effecting neural fluid flow as well as presenting neural symptoms I'd been reporting for almost a year. Emergency brain surgery on Jan 3 (golf-ball size mass intertwined at brain stem base, benign). ICU, step down, hospital rehab discharged to home Jan 13. On a slow self-directed/ motivated recovery and rehab road. Almost a fulltime job in and of itself. Typing is a challenge, walking is a challenge, writing is impossible, haven't attempted steps to my 2nd floor yet. BUT, I have been able to meet my MT classes at the University/Consortium and intend to keep up with that part of my life (with a great support system to transport me)."

The funds will go towards all medical and physcial therapy bills.  My mom is one of the most hard working and compassionate individuals I know. She did not want me to do this but I can hear the stress in her voice and I do not want this to get in the way of her healing. Our family would greatly appreciate any help that you can give. Sending her a letter or prayers would be great as well--- whatever you can do.
