Lala's Costa Rica Study Abroad Trip!

Dear Friends & kind-hearted individuals,

My name is Lala and I am beyond excited to announce that I just got accepted to a one-semester study abroad program in Costa Rica that starts this June. I am in my senior year and I go to Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. I am on track to graduate at the end of 2023 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology! As a college student who grew up in - and aged out of the foster care system with no support - I am reaching out to you with a plea for help. My dream is to not only obtain a college degree but also to study abroad and gain a unique global perspective in my field of study.

Unfortunately, the cost of studying abroad is incredibly high, and I simply cannot afford it without your help. With tuition, living expenses, and travel costs, the total amount required for me to study abroad is beyond what I can currently afford.

I am ambitious, inquisitive, and resilient, and have worked so hard to get where I am today, but the financial burden of college has already been overwhelming. Adding study abroad expenses to the mix feels like an insurmountable obstacle that I can't overcome without your assistance.

All of the money raised will go towards the cost of tuition and the program fees, plane tickets, food, excursions, and other associated fees.

Your donation, no matter how big or small, will help me cover the costs of my study abroad experience. By supporting me, you are helping me achieve my dream of obtaining a global perspective in my field of study, which will be invaluable as I move forward in my career.
