Lakeside Early Learning is a nonprofit childcare center rooted in the heart of Duluth’s Lakeside neighborhood. Housed in the historic former Lakeside School on Pitt Street, we serve children from six weeks old through kindergarten, creating a place where children are known, safe, and deeply cared for, and where families feel supported every day.
Over the weekend, a frozen pipe burst on the top floor of our building, flooding into the main floor, infant room, and toddler rooms. The damage has forced us to shut down operations immediately. More than 60 families are now without childcare, and our program faces uncertainty as we work to stabilize.
We are asking for emergency support to help cover critical repairs, support our teachers, and create temporary solutions so we can continue serving families during this closure.
Every dollar raised helps ensure that Lakeside Early Learning can reopen its doors and continue being a place of stability, care, and belonging for our community’s youngest learners.
Your support helps keep children safe, families supported, and a vital neighborhood resource alive. Thank you for standing with Lakeside Early Learning when it matters most!
