More than 65 children call Lakeside Early Learning (LEL) home every day. They are greeted by friendly faces of teachers and staff who fill their days with education, excitement and love. Students attend classes for Spanish, library, yoga and gym on a weekly basis and also experience faith, art, story time, outside exploration and creative play daily.
Lakeside Early Learning, previously St. Michael's Early Learning, is set to complete the transition on September 8th, 2020. LEL is in the process of buying the school building from St Michael's Catholic Church. During this process, the staff is dedicated to
working hard to ensure entire transition very smooth for children and families, with no noticeable difference in programming.
Director, Nichole Reed shares her favorite aspects of the school, "our staff and families working together so well and are constantly going out of their way to help and support each other. Families and students see the faith piece throughout the school, whether it is the encouraging Bible verses hung on the fridge in the break room, a bulletin board in the hallway, or the sound of children singing and dancing to faith based music or reading Bible stories in classrooms. The most favorite book on our bookshelf is the beginner's Bible. I had to buy several copies at garage sales because it is so popular!"
In order to secure the future of the current and future families of Lakeside Early Learning, financial assistance is needed to secure the purchase of the building. The school's deadline to create this reality is September 8th, 2020.
