22.6 Miles. Cold Water. No Wetsuits. One Incredible cause.
In August 2026, our team Lakes2Lochs Legends will attempt to swim the entire length of Loch Lomond (22.6 / 36.44km) in a relay - raising funds for the amazing charity it's Good2Give
The challenge will be professionally ratified by the British Long Distance Swimming Association, meaning it must follow strict open-water rules: no wetsuits, no swimming aids, and only breaststroke or freestyle allowed.
Each swimmer will swim for one hour at a time, rotating continuously until the full distance is completed. With cold water, changing weather and a huge distance to cover, this will test every member of the team.
Meet the team:

- Vanessa Mudd
- Eilish Forewells (Reserve)
We train together at Loch Venechar, home to Ripple Retreat - a beautiful respite lodge built by It'sGoodToGive. The charity supports young cancer patients and their families across Scotland, providing practical help, emotional support and a place where families can spend precious time together away from hospitals and treatment.
The charity also funds specialist psychologists within children's oncology and offers families the opportunity to stay at Ripple Retreat, a peaceful place on the banks of Loch Venachar where they can rest and spend valuable together during incredibly difficult circumstances.
Every mile we swim will be for the young people and families who rely on this support.
If you can, please donate and help us raise as much as possible for this incredible cause.
