In April 2024, our beloved Lakeisha was diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer. With hope and determination, she traveled to the United States in November 2024 to seek additional medical treatment that seemed promising.

However, shortly after beginning care, doctors discovered that the cancer had already progressed to Stage IV and had spread to her lungs. Despite this devastating news, Lakeisha bravely continued her fight with the support of her family and friends.

Now, in August 2025, we have learned that the cancer has further spread to her liver and brain, which has begun causing seizures. Sadly, doctors have confirmed that she is too unwell to survive the flight back to Jamaica and they will continue to keep her comfortable.

As a family, we are now preparing for the most difficult chapter— end-of-life care and the arrangements that will follow. One of Lakeisha’s final wishes is to return to Jamaica, where she can rest surrounded by her family, loved ones, and the place she cherished most.

The cost of repatriating her to Jamaica is far beyond what we can manage alone. We are reaching out with heavy hearts, asking for your kindness and support to help us bring Lakeisha home when the time comes.

Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference and bring us one step closer to fulfilling her final wish.
