Our incredible group of young Dabke dancers, musicians, and leaders from the Lajee Center in the West Bank, Palestine, are officially preparing to travel to Ireland from 20th July to 5th August 2026!

After the heartbreaking disappointment of having the 2025 visas denied by the Irish government, we are filled with hope and determination for 2026. This summer, 20 talented young people and their mentors aim to bring their powerful performances, vibrant culture, and vital stories to cities across the Republic of Ireland.

Many of you will remember their unforgettable, sold-out tours in 2014 and 2022. Through music and dance, these youth stole hearts across the country while raising crucial awareness about the daily realities of growing up in occupied Palestine.

What the Tour Involves

This trip is an opportunity for connection, solidarity, and cultural exchange. During their stay, the youth group will:

• Live with local families to build lifelong community bonds.

• Connect with Irish peers through visits to local secondary schools.

• Engage with policymakers to advocate for Palestinian human rights.

• Perform live public shows showcasing traditional Dabke dance and music.

How Your Donation Helps

We need your help to get these young artists to Ireland and care for them while they are here. Thank you to people who donated for the tour in 2025 - we still have those funds but need more. Every euro raised will be used directly in Ireland to cover:

• Travel costs from Palestine to Ireland.

• Meals for the entire delegation.

• Fun activities for the young people

• Internal travel and transport between Irish cities.

• Event production and venue costs.

Transparency

All funds raised will be directly deposited into the official Lajee Tour bank account with AIB. To ensure complete transparency, a full account of all expenditures will be shared with our donors at the end of the tour.
