Lainey vs Semi. Round 1

We are starting this go fund me for a dear friend of mine who was in a terrible auto accident on I-25. The driver of a semi truck fell asleep at the wheel and hit Lainey head on while she was driving to pickup cat food. After being cut from the truck she was driving and taken to MCR, her long journey began. The list of her injuries is extensive: brain trauma and bleeding in the brain which has led to severe vision impairment, 5 fractured vertebrae in her thoracic spine, 2 fractured vertebrae in her lumbar spine, neck was broken in two places, 6 broken ribs and a collapsed lung, both arms and both feet/ankles were shattered, fractured right knee, and severe damage to her carotid and subclavian arteries which has heightened her chance of a stroke. She required 6 major surgeries to reconstruct her body and and spent about 6 weeks in the intensive care unit at MCR. She has been wheelchair bound and is unable to care for herself and she has been dealing with an endless amount of doctors visits and physical therapy. As you can imagine, the financial strain and burden of medical bills is starting to take a toll on this family, and this gofundme was started to hopefully try and help alleviate some of that stress so the family can focus on helping Lainey recover physically and mentally.
