On October 9, 2025, the world changed forever as it said goodbye to Lainey Jean Gladkin, lovingly known to all as "Lainey Bird" - a beautiful, spirited two-year old whose joy, determination and love touched every person she encountered. She was so many wonderful things - beautiful, smart, hilarious, sassy, feisty, loving and strong. Of all the titles she held, her favorites were being daughter to Kevin and Kelsey and "Sissy" to her big brother Cooper. While her life ended far too soon, her impact was immeasurable.

Despite her age and petite stature, Lainey was someone you'd never forget once you'd met her. With her radiant brown eyes and adorable smile, she was sure to brighten your day no matter the time or the circumstance. Kevin and Kelsey ensured she lived boundlessly, and their home was her paradise as she went from one adventure to the next with her big brother Cooper, her grandparents, cousins, family and friends. Her laughter and light will be so deeply missed by all who had the absolute pleasure of knowing and loving Lainey Bird.

While her medical journey included visits and surgeries, the moment she arrived home she was playing, giggling, jumping, running, riding co-pilot and almost always - climbing. Kevin and Kelsey's unconditional love and commitment to ensuring every moment of her life was fun and fulfilling made Lainey exactly how all her family and friends would describe her - happy.
