Hi! My name is Lailah and am 11 years old. I started dancing 3 years ago and I really love it! I have learned so many styles, including ballet, modern, tap, and jazz. I love dancing so much that I have dreams of owning my own studio and dancing professionally.

As a first step toward these goals, I recently auditioned for the Dance Theatre of Harlem Summer Intensive program for 2017. I am so happy to tell you that I made it! I was selected to spend 3 weeks in New York City during the summer. I am very excited to be trained by legends and some of the best dancers in the world!

I am writing to you, my family and friends, to ask for your help in making this dream a reality. The total cost to attend is $3300.00. This includes tuition, housing, meals, field trips, and transporation to and from the dance studio.  The deadline for initial application fees and payments is March 31.  I am very excited for this opportuity of a lifetime and would greatly appreciate any donation that you can make!  Please keep me in your prayers!
