Laid Off of a Holistic Health School; Help Hakima

There are some events in life you don't expect. Events that change your life.

You go on with your day thinking it's going to be a peaceful day, and then you see an unread email. It goes:

| Sender: Employer (a school that teachs tantra online)

| Subject: "Cancellation of our contract."

Your heart starts pounding in your ears; Your throat is tight, and your head spins. You fight to ignore the contents of the email, but the body knows.

It knows that your life is about to change forever, and your financial security is not guaranteed anymore; your life has taken a huge turn.

And so you fall apart, unable to contain your tears; you just lost your job without an apology.

On October 31st, 2022, this is what happened to me. I got laid off with a short and cold email. The school's owner said it's because he's dying as a business (financial reasons), but the behaviors that follow tell me there are other reasons.

Right after, I was blocked from Instagram.

When I asked to have a person-to-person talk via a phone call (to understand what was happening or feel appreciated for my years of contributions ), they ignored my email.

I have put so much effort into serving their interests, but they decided to let me go with only three lines in an email, without a phone call!

When I reminded them that our contract mentioned a thirty-day notice period before termination (so I had one more month to work), the founder responded that he would block my emails. And he did!

Two years of contributions to be discarded without any empathy; very surprising for a school selling the concept of love, connection, care, appreciation and empathy.

And two months later, he filed a copyright infringement on a picture of my face I uploaded on my website, conveying the offensive message that "I own you, woman."

I feel violated.

After consulting a mental health provider, it is now obvious that we have a case of bullying and harassment. It's creating more and more emotional and mental damage.

I'm sad to realize some people do not preach the love & consciousness they teach. I wish it were just a nightmare, a bad dream that would go away in the morning. But it's not. I have to keep walking with a puffy face swollen with grief.

I know I will rebound, but it will take some time. This is why I'm raising the equivalent of my immediate loss so that I can pay my bills/rent for this month.
