Leap of Faith - Go Big, Beat Cancer
Donation protected
My name is Carl Lahetta, I am a father to four lovely children and happily married to my wife Suzanne. In September of 2015 I was diagnosed with a Stage IV Pancreatic Neuroendocring Tumor (PNET). Unfortunately the cancer has spread to my liver and I am currently undergoing Selective Internal Radiation Therapy (SIRT) at UPenn.
The funds that I raise will go towards medical bills and college education for my four children. The monthly chemo shot and medicine is thousands of dollars a month and that does not count the numerous medical procedures. I am praying for a miracle and perhaps my prayers will be answered. Until that time only 20% of people with my type of cancer live past five years.
I am not one to sit still and cry on the couch. I am still working thank God, and I am living my life to the fullest. It is amazing how many people I have been able to help who have their own battles with an illness or of a loved one.
So, I am asking you to join me in taking a Leap of Faith and donate to my cause. I did not know how much to try to fund raise, but my close friends said "Go Big", so I did.
I am not the richest man in my town, but I told my friends that I feel like George Bailey in "It's a Wonderful Life". I truly appreciate the generousity of my family, friends, and neighbors who have helped us in many ways and I will appreciate your gift as well.
Here is a video of a standup routine I did at a local comedy club, it is my way of saying thank you for your support, Carl at Pocos Comedy Club April 2016
Sincerely,
Carl Lahetta
