Lahaina Shingon Mission fire relief

Please consdier donating to help Rev. Takayuki Meguro of Lahaina Shingon Mission. A large wildfire has devastated all of historic Lahaina town on Maui. While still early, it appears most all the structures in Lahaina were destroyed, including Lahaina Shingon Mission (Hokoji Temple), and Rev. Meguro's home. Many people outside of Lahaina became acquainted with Rev. Meguro through his morning prayers streamed on FaceBook. We received word that Rev. Meguro and his family escaped the fire safely, but the temple and home are most likely lost.

I visited Rev. Meguro in February and am saddened to hear that the historic temple may have been lost in this devastating fire.

All funds raised will be provided to Rev. Meguro.
