Lahaina Fire relief: Help Kawika rebuild his life
Donation protected
My name is Ash & I am creating this for my brother Kawika Kinimaka .On his birthday 8/8/23 our entire town burned to the ground. Not knowing that day I talked to him to wish him a happy birthday ,our childhood home & entire community would be going through the unthinkable.
Although he didn’t lose his home due to the fire. He did loose his business , the way he provides not only for himself but our ohana and his own little ohana. If you know my brother you know he’s always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He hasn’t had anytime to process the loss of his business and all he’s worked so hard towards.
Since the fire he has opened up his home to our entire family and friends. His home has become a hub for supplies needed in the Pualu loop community in Napili .
He has been spending every ounce of his time at the Kahana Boat Ramp doing supply drops on the last piece he has left of his business. His 1st boat he bought all those years ago, luckily a friend saved it from the fires. He has been consistently working in and with the community leaders at all the westside hubs to ensure families and the community are getting the things they need to navigate through the new tragic realities for us .
Though he says he’s doing the easy part by boating things in from larger ships and vessels that are dropping of supplies. His impact has and will be remembered through out the years in the Lahaina community.
Just like so many families that need help to rebuild . He needs it too and I want to help in anyway I can for him so he can continue providing for his family and community of West Maui.
Please consider donating monetary funds or equipment.
