Lahaina Fire Relief for Business of 30 Years
Donation protected
I was born and raised in Maui and I am asking for help on behalf of my mother, who was the owner of one of the many storefronts that burned down in Lahaina.
The devastating Lahaina fire destroyed both lives and livelihoods. Of the many local and long-standing businesses that the fire decimated was Quilts N' Fabricland - a staple of 30 years in downtown Lahaina. The fun and bright shop was the only fabric shop in all of West Maui and served the local community and visitors for decades. Like much of Lahaina, this business is now gone, and so is the only source of livelihood for the store owner, Fehima Baccar. With the rebuilding of Lahaina estimated to take years and billions of dollars, Fehima needs your help to rebuild her own future. Please help spread the Aloha as this chapter of this beloved Maui business closes. We need relief funds to help cover basic living costs in the business' absence and possible relocation of the owner and her family as she rebuilds her life in the wake of this tragedy.
Our hearts are with all of the victims and survivors of the Maui fires. Together, we can help Maui communities on their different paths to recovery.
Mahalo for your help!
