Lahaina Fire- Please help our Ohana

Hi, my name is Vivian and along with LaVette and Lynda, we wanted to start this gofundme for our sweet friend who is like a sister to us.

We all have heard and seen the devastation the recent fires left in Lahaina, HI. One of our best friends and her husband, who we call family, live in Lahaina and have had to live through this tragic and catastrophic event. Sadly, this isn’t the first time James and Janell have been affected by wildfires. In 2018, they lost their beloved farm due to a fire. Thankfully, their home is still standing, but it is uninhabitable, possibly for several weeks!

While we realize so many others have been left without a home to ever return to, both James and Janell may not be able to work for some time due to the destruction of their town and will most definitely need some extra funds to see them through this unsure time.

To know James and Janell is to know what true aloha spirit means. You will not meet two people who are more kinder, generous and loving. James and Janell pay for his mother’s monthly Alzheimer’s home costs and we are hoping that the monies raised will help ensure that help to those they support and allow them to help others in their community. We appreciate your continued prayers as Lahaina rebuilds and navigates the challenges that lie ahead. Let’s show them the aloha spirit that they continue to give so selflessly!
