Lahaina Fire 2023 - Allie Garza

It has been over two weeks since the devastating loss of Lahaina town.

My name is Allie, I have lived at 129 Wahikuli Rd, Lahaina, Maui for the past 2 years.

The town that I have been fortunate enough to call home is no longer livable. My Lahaina community, all of my friends, who have turned into family and my job, Mala Ocean Tavern, have helped me grow into the person I am today and has shown me the true meaning of Aloha.

My loved ones and I are safe, but our community, jobs and our homes are not. From aerial footage, we have seen that our house is still standing, but everything around it is gone. We have been informed that we will not be able to salvage anything due to toxic chemical damage that has been around and in our home.

I was and am currently off island visiting family, not having anything to return to. Therefore, the only things I have to my name is my small carry on suitcase of clothes.

I am asking if anyone is able to donate anything to contribute to me rebuilding and moving forward in this crazy thing called life, I would appreciate any help in this time of need.
