Lahaina Disaster victims desperately need help!

Hi my name is Kerry Buitrago and my boyfriend Dave ( kiwi Dave) and I lived at 1010 Front Street for the past 3 years and we lost everything we had in the devastating fire that destroyed Lahaina Tuesday night. We escaped with the clothes we were wearing and our cat and dog and nothing more.
my boyfriend was trying to save his work van full of tools so he can continue his handyman business to work but just down the street in front of Waikiki brewery the flames roared across front street over all the vehicles and caught them on fire. He had to jump over the rock wall we walked past so many times to jump into the ocean to escape the flames. He was in the ocean for several hours before being rescued by the coast guard.
- We were separated and supposed to meet on baby beach where I was walking with a co worker with 2 animals trying to stay ahead of the fire and black smoke but it was roaring like a freight train behind us and the heat felt like the flames were going to overcome us. Palm trees everywhere were on fire. It looked like it was truly the end of the world. We walked all the way to Kaanapali and then the evacuation center was evacuated and we had to keep walking.
Our hearts are shattered for the beautiful condo we lost which our own personal heaven. Lahaina was truly Heaven on earth and now it all gone……. We don’t know how to start again but we need basics like clothes and shoes, new vehicles, hand and power tools so my boyfriend can work again. Please help if you can because we are totally needing everything to start over. Our hearts and lives will never be the same
** the picture shown is of our complex. My burned out car is by the pool, our condo was in front of the car and the remains of the palm were outside our bedroom window. The remains of the fence around the pool is near my car. We had a view of the ocean . Our neighbor Gary’s old vw bus is next to my car.
