Lagos' International Soccer Journey - Brazil

Update and Thank you!!

This message is to thank each and every one of you who helped me to travel to Brazil. Your help gave me the privilege of not only playing and training in Brazil, but also experiencing a whole new country and culture! The beaches and ocean were beautiful. I met a lot of nice people, and ate food I had never even seen before! The trip was amazing! The futebol/soccer training was intense and I met and made friends with my Brazilian teammates at VR10 Academy. The coaches, Vagner and Mircia, took very good care of me and my family. I played several games with my teammates against several different clubs. We had great competition and learned a lot about how to move the ball FAST and protect the ball and your space. We were able to watch two professional games (and kids get in free in Brazil). They believe that children need to have access to futebol culture. This trip challenged me to change the way I play so I become a stronger and more diverse player, I appreciate the privileges I have that so many of my VR10 teammates do not, and I have made connections that will last a lifetime. Thank you for making this a reality and supporting my dream to be a professional soccer player. I train hard, year-round. I will continue to train and to research to make sure I am loving for my dream! I love this sport and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Thank you! I will add a link to videos for you soon. Lagos Kroeker

Hi, my name is Lagos. I am an eleven-year-old from Penticton, BC, Canada. I have been invited to a select soccer training in Brazil with ABC Futebol Clube in August 2022. This will be my first opportunity to train internationally with high-level coaches and players. I will attend training for seven weeks. I got this opportunity from a coach who has played professional soccer worldwide.

I have played soccer since I was five years old. This is my passion. I work to improve my skills every day by training with my local club, training with my dad, and training independently. I know that my hard work will bring me to a higher level as I progress toward my goals. Every kid dreams of going pro, but I not only dream of this, I have a plan and I am willing to put in the hours and dedication to take the next steps toward this dream.

My family is struggling to get the money for the training and flight. I am hoping to raise enough money to pay for the training. That wraps up the reason why I am doing this Gofundme. If you could donate, I thank you very much.
