Lagniappe's Care
Lagniappe is 14 years old, newly arrived at my house. I was asked to care for her as a foster mom by her petsitter, while her human mother was admitted to hospice care (she's 94) and the family made decisions. At this point, she will be living with me permanently.
I was not expecting to be caring for a cat, especially one with medical needs. Her recent bloodwork shows elevated liver values. She's on medication now to see if it's just liver related inflammation, or cancer. In two weeks we will retest, and possibly do an ultrasound.
If anyone is interested in contributing to her cause, it will be used to defray expenses towards food, litter, toys and medications. The petsitter will be primarily responsible for vet care but I hope to be able to offer something to help with that. We all know how fast it adds up; we also would appreciate prayers and good thoughts for her. Thank you for reading this.
