Gausman Baton Rouge Flood Relief

My name is Kevin Gausman and I am a former LSU baseball alumn and current Baltimore Orioles pitcher. I grew up in Colorado, but now Baton Rouge, Louisiana is home to me. My fiancee and I wanted to start this gofundme account to raise money and awareness for the Louisiana flood victims. Not many people know that for three days relentless storms fell on southern Louisiana and caused many rivers to overflow. Countless numbers of homes flooded and the water came in so fast, people were being rescued by boats for days. The water has since subsided but many people, including friends and family to me, have lost everything. My goal is to raise money for these familes who need anything from toothbrushes to places to sleep. I am asking you to help me raise money to donate to the Baton Rouge Area Foundations  Flood Relief Fund. I will run this account for two weeks hoping to get as many donations as possible, and in addition donating $15,000 on top of whatever is raised. I will be so grateful if you would donate whatever you can to help get southern Louisiana back on their feet after this devastating storm.
