Laffy Needs Surgery
Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Katie, and I have a dog named Lafayette, more commonly known as Laffy. Late last night Laffy starting exhibiting signs that he was in extreme pain. After taking him to an emergency veterinarian they diagnosed it as a bladder stone lodged in his urethra. Leaving the stone would put him at risk of a ruptured bladder and infection. The amazing team was able to get it back into his bladder to save him some time.
I was told he needed emergency surgery that day. This is his second expensive surgery in the past month, albeit his last one was not urgent.
As I type this Laffy is in surgery and we’re hoping for a good outcome but, he has another stone in his kidney which could cause further issues down the line.
Between the emergency vet visit and his surgery I am looking at over $2,000 in cost. I normally would have been able to pay this but my car lease just ended and I put my back up funds towards a down payment on a new vehicle just last week. Between his previous surgery, the car payment, and student loan repayments restarting I am in a really tough space financially. Anything anyone can do to contribute would be so so appreciated. I can also be vemoed, if you prefer at @kshaps.
