My name is Laerte, 24.

This hasn’t always been my name.

Even if it seems clear now that I was a trans person, I have always felt stuck in my body, torn between who I am and who the world expected me to be, weighed down by people's expectations of the gender I was assigned at birth.

Not anymore.

A few months ago I actually realized life was worth living :) and shortly after I started my hormone replacement therapy.

It allowed me to finally live as the person I have always known myself to be.

Getting my top surgery will help me further to feel just as like the boy you see in the pictures :).

I have found a reputable clinic in Spain, and my surgeon has provided me with an estimate of the expenses I will need to cover, which include:

I know this is a significant amount. I am saving my own money (by working as a chef) to afford the surgery, and any support—no matter how small—would make a meaningful difference.

As someone who doesn’t feel comfortable simply asking for charity, I want to share that I’m a cook. If we ever meet, I would be more than happy to cook a meal for you or bake you some bread as a way to say thank you. :)
