On September 19, 2015, the world lost an amazingly beautiful little girl. Her soul was taken at the moment she was tragically hit by a car while playing with friends. She was in our lives for just 6 years. This little girl introduces herself as "Miss Riley Ann Jackson, Lady Princess", which she used so affectionately with her father, Scott Jackson, and mother, Jennifer Hopewell.
I'm her Great Uncle. Miss Riley Ann Jackson, Lady Princess would greet me by clinging to my leg with all her might. That's how she hugged me. As if she hadn't seen me in years when it was merely days.
Those of us that were specifically chosen to know this beautiful little girl can be thankful to have had her in our world. We all can agree that by having this unique little person in our lives, if only for 6 years, Miss Riley Ann Jackson, Lady Princess, loved everything and everyone without prejudice. (oh sure, she did have a temper, too!)
Her inextinguishable energy told each one of us that we have so much to learn and do because SHE had so much to learn and do. It is truly amazing how just by observing the light of this child, WE learn what it is to really love all that is alive around us.
The loss of a child is impossible to fathom for those of us who haven't experienced it. Our hearts seem to skip a beat and we take a selfish moment to be thankful that we were spared such unimaginable pain.
This family needs our help. Jennifer and fiance', Miguel have really worked so hard to make ends meet and provide a happy, healthy home for Riley, her brother Michael, and sister Maia. Unfortunately, this unexpected tragedy comes with a price tag that can only add to their anguish at this time. Please help them cover expenses to find Miss Riley Ann Jackson, Lady Princess, a place to rest. Jennifer and Miguel have no bereavement benefits, so we're doing our best to cover their household needs as well.
Your help and outpouring of love and support for this family is most appreciated.
