Lady's paw has become severely infected after slicing it on a piece of glass at the lake.  We took her to an emergency veterinarian who cleaned and bandaged her, then sent us home without any antibiotics. Three days later she was improperly re-bandaged, which cut off circulation to the foot and allowed the infection to spread.
After taking her to another vet, 750 dollars of antibiotics and painkillers, and a week hoping her condition would improve, her foot is now nearly falling off (literally). Her only options are amputation or euthanasia, but the thought of putting her down rips my soul to shreds.

I am between jobs. I can't afford to pay for the surgery without putting myself further into in crippling debt.

Lady has been with me for four years now, since she was only eight weeks old. She's been at my side nearly every moment since then. She is my best friend and my light in my darkest moments.
