I have breast cancer, and I need your support. At age 61, I have just entered my second week of chemo the reality of coping with the effects of chemo and working full-time as a mental health nurse practitioner has brought me here to ask for assistance.

I own my own business, meaning I don’t have paid time off, short-term disability or family medical leave. The time I need away from work will be about seven to eight months as I still need surgery and radiation.

This has been a challenging year for the Miles clan as I lost my sister Allison Miles last January. She left behind two children and a grandson. I want to live a long life as I want them to know how much she loved them. My three sons though grown, also need their Mama. Once recovered, I promise to pay all your help forward as I continue to provide care for those with mental health needs.
