She is currently in Intensive Care and will remain there until several milestones can be achieved related to her condition. She has right sided paralysis, and is unable to speak at this time. When her health team feels comfortable with her progress, she will be moved to a Stroke Rehabilitation Facility. Her recovery process will be extensive as she relearns basic life skills.
LaDonna’s husband, Mike, has been staying at the hospital every night and only stepping away for short breaks during the day while her two daughters, Alyssa and Ashley, plus other family members are intermittently with her.
We realize everyone would like to see LaDonna to share your love and support but visitors are currently limited to immediate family members during this initial portion of her healing and recovery. She can only have minimal activity right now to maximize her healing process.
While in the ICU flowers and gifts are not allowed and the ICU term of her recovery has not yet been determined. It is anticipated that LaDonna’s recovery will be lengthy and difficult. Everyone’s prayers and thoughts are much needed and greatly appreciated. We do anticipate that current medical expenses and future rehabilitation costs will be very high with an unknown rehabilitation length at this time. In an effort to help the family focus on LaDonna’s current condition and recovery, we are hoping to reduce the financial strain they are likely to encounter on this journey in LaDonna’s recovery.
Any donation would be greatly appreciated and this site will periodically offer updates on LaDonna’s progress and when additional visitors would be welcome. No donation is too big or small!
