Ladies Toilets Extension
The current West Cliff theatre building is over 95 years old and improving and upgrading the Ladies toilet facilities is essential. The planned extension will allow us to add a further 4 cubicles, making a total of 7. This will make a massive difference to queuing times, especially
during the interval.
The plans were put on hold during 2020 due to the uncertainty of the Corona Virus, but the West Cliff Trust feel that moving ahead with
the project now is the right thing to do. A project like this is costly, and every penny raised will help us to finance the works, which is why
we are asking for your help.
Construction will begin this September and we hope to complete the work in time for Christmas.
The West Cliff is independently run by a Trust and plays host to professional touring shows, local amateur groups, dance schools, and
other youth groups. It is mainly run by volunteers and each year welcomes over 30,000 visitors. It is home to The Summer Show (a joint
production with AJL Theatrical) and is a well-regarded venue amongst artists and promoters due to the friendly staff and unique
atmosphere.
