Laddomada Girls' College Funds
Donation protected
On January 25, Mary Elizabeth Laddomada passed away very suddenly and tragically after being admitted to the hospital with pain and fatigue just the night before. Mary was a vibrant and devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, cousin, principal, and our beloved aunt. She leaves behind her husband Pete and two young daughters, Nicole and Victoria.
A LIFETIME OF SERVICE
Mary truly lit up a room with her bright smile and laughter. Warm, compassionate, and genuine, she was also tough, a strong leader in education for thirty years. She led right up until the very end, as Vice Principal of P.S. 12, during one of the most trying times in educational history. She planned to retire this year—her last year of service to the New York City public schools—after helping the students and parents in her community get through the pandemic.
A SUDDEN, SHOCKING LOSS
Mary leaves behind a grief-stricken Pete Laddomada, her longtime love and husband of 24 years and their two daughters. Nicole (15) and Victoria (12) were Mary’s greatest joys and the center of her life. After a full day at work, Mary would come home and help the girls with school, dance, art, and sports. She loved her family fiercely, and she dedicated herself to them every single day.
IN LIEU OF FLOWERS
Pete asks that—in lieu of flowers—donations be made to Nicole and Victoria’s education fund to help with the cost of college, which was extremely important to Mary. Nicole and Victoria are bright, talented young women who take after their mom in the best ways. 100% of all donations will go toward their future college fund. He truly appreciates all of your support.
