Lacy and the Ford Family

Hello, I'm Amber McKibbin and I have been blessed to know Lacy for eight years now. Her friendship has provided me with great love and support through those years and I have also gotten to know her amazing family during that time. They are such a beautiful example of familial strength and faith.

For those of you who don't know James (Lacy's father) was diagnosed with heart failure out of the blue back in mid-September. Since that time doctors have been working hard to find the cause and sustainable treatment, but this has left him quite weakened in addition to needing at-home nursing care. James has been Shawn's (Lacy's mother) main caretaker since her TBI almost 20 years ago. This has left Lacy, as their sole child, responsible for managing their care as well as having her mother move in with her. During this time Lacy has been unable to work due to the amount of care her mother needs and the amount of time devoted to supporting her father's medical care.

Lacy has done so much over the past 5 years to create financial stability in her life by buying a home and building her savings. Unfortunately, she has come to the end of the emergency funds at her disposal and needs our help. I wanted to help her and her family during this challenging time in a small way by raising funds to help them make it through the end of the year.
